Well its official. Alexis Systems is out of business, I have been able to work on a couple of computers on the side to keep things moving in the right direction till I can find full time employment. SO if you live around the Salina area and in need of a computer tech, give me a call. Good news is one place where I am their “computer guy”, is looking to hire a truck driver, so I have a little bit of a “inside track” there, but only time will tell. I had a very informal interview today.

Well, my pic gallery is coming along. I have decided to go back to the old style which is up and viewable now, but not attached to the links on the front page or weblog page. I will connect the links when I have the layout right and more pics on there then just two. ANYWAY, Kendra I have tried to call you again. No answer like normal. AND Nelli, get back over here, I miss talking to you. I hope your feeling better.

Well, I hate my current picture gallery. Today I think I am going to go back to the old style that I had because I am not adding any new to the one I hate. Maybe that will help me take more pics if I actually had some place to put them. I got my digital camera back but I am not taking pictures. I used to love taking pics, so, l will get on it and see if I can get more new ones up and put up some of my old good ones.

Well, not much going on yet. Been playing with the MacBook quite a bit lately. I have Windows 7 Ultimate running on it now. So when I start I can choose to use the Mac operating system, or start up into Windows 7. Mac actually wrote all the drivers needed to get everything to work in Microsoft land so it was pretty quick and painless. Something interesting is that Windows 7 is faster on a MacBook then Mac’s OS X Snow Leopard. Well at least its interesting to me. Spring just got here, hoping some truck driving jobs will open up so I can make decent money again. Anyway, this job is getting me by and I do like it. Anyway, that’s about it for now.

Well, I have been working more hours at the computer repair shop. I am getting much better at it. There is a lot to remember and somedays my brian is a steel trap, others a closed box. BUT, boss is happy I guess, he is having me work more hours. Anyway, thanks for stopping by.

I know I haven’t posted in a while. I will write something soon. Been working on computers all and when I get home I haven’t exactly been jumping on mine. I will do so soon.

I am going nuts over here. This job I am waiting for is perfect for me. All that I like to do, they need done, and willing to pay me for it. I just have to wait for them to get together and decide who they want. This wait is killing me. I want to have a backup plan and there are so few jobs here. I am too qualified for most. I was told at one warehouse company they didn’t want a carpetbagger, they didn’t someone that didn’t want a long term job. They could see that I am CDL driver from my resume and they know CDL jobs aren’t here right now, and that as soon as they were, I would leave. I can’t say that I blame them, they would hire me, train me for 2 weeks, and then I would leave in 8 weeks. I am SEVERELY running out of money, freaking out and can’t find a job. I have a good feeling about the AutoCAD job, but wow, its just so stressful. I got 2 friends that disappeared that I would LOVE to have updates from but not a thing to be seen or heard. I know things will get better but wow, a few things could make life so much easier right now.

Well I am bored and decided to give an update.

After my severe crash and burn expedition to Texas for a girl, I have returned to Salina, Kansas. I went back to the same apartment/room that I left before the Houston trip. While I was in Texas I saw a online post of a job that I was very interested in, come to find out it was still available when I got back to Kansas. Job is doing AutoCAD primarily and being a general computer guy and website guy. The latter two to a lesser extent than AutoCAD. To me, this job is perfectly what I want to do. I really want this job and know I will excel at it. SO, I am awaiting their decision. I have passed the first few rounds of cuts and it sort of seems they will make their decision after Christmas.

I have installed a picture gallery, but I am not quite happy with the way it looks. It’s the beta version and it just looks like crap. I am going to leave it up just to have something there, I won’t be putting up all the pics yet. Until I find a better gallery layout or until I can fix this one to look better. So far making this one look better seems impossible. But who knows, maybe more layouts will be available soon. When you use free open source programs and applications sometimes you just get what you get.

So this past year wasn’t the best. I made a couple poor decisions and a couple decisions that were good but involved someone else that didn’t have the same intentions and I suffered for it, but that is life. I know this job will turn things around I have high hopes for this coming year. That’s it for now.

I couldn’t couldn’t get the picture gallery to reload onto the server and find its database as easily as the weblogs. I think its because everything about the picture gallery was out of date. The Gallery2 itself was abandoned for Galerlly3 and it was not upgradeable. The version of database was very out of date as well. Trying to do a new install of old stuff to agree with the new stuff , just seemed to be above my head. SO the picture gallery will remain down, utill I figure out what I want to do there. I might have a side entity to the weblog that holds pictures or might have a separate gallery like before. I will update where I am and whats going on soon. Waiting for one piece of news hopefully coming this week.

THE WEBLOG is alive. It was a little difficult restoring the database from old files, but it seems like I got it on the third try. Would have been one shot if I checked dates a little better and that GoDaddy doesnt keep changing their database locations. ANYWAY, it’s back and sorry for the disruptions.
